Carmelo Knight
Student Intern
Carmelo Knight is a Burke Scholar at Marquette University studying Statistical Sciences and Spanish Language, Literature, and Culture. After his undergraduate studies, he plans on attending law school to pursue a career in the justice system as a way of reforming from the inside out. Carmelo became interested in statistics in high school when taking a class. Additionally, during a summer working with MENTOR Greater Milwaukee, he completed a workshop with Data you Can Use that broadened his perspective on what he could do with a statistics degree. During his internship with Data You Can Use, he will serve as an asset on the MKE Fresh Air Collective project.
Carmelo was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI. He likes to (roller)skate, skateboard, Latino and African dance, and most of all music. Anything that gets his body moving, he is willing to try. Having grown up in Milwaukee, Carmelo’s personal goal is to work and serve in the communities that raised him in order to give back and bring more prosperity to the city.
