Chris Peters
Board Member
Christopher Peters is a registered nurse and assistant professor of nursing in the School of Nursing at
UW-Milwaukee. He graduated with his bachelor’s degree in nursing from UW-Milwaukee in 1997 and
spent 20 years in practice caring for heart patients. Throughout his career, Chris worked to improve
health outcomes through patient advocacy and improving health literacy. Since 2015, Chris has focused
on educating the next generation of nursing leaders to meet the healthcare needs of our communities.
Chris completed his PhD in nursing in 2022. His research focuses on the admission and clinical placement
of nursing students who have had prior involvement with law enforcement.
Chris has lived in Racine with his wife and son since 2003. They enjoy playing games together as a family,
and watching the Milwaukee Admirals play in Panther Arena.
